Class Description: Artists use numerous tools, tricks, and methods to help them draw the world they see. Discover these secrets and more. Practice making subjects look three dimensional with a sense of depth, perspective, and realistic texture. Students will spend time in nature making observations of things that fly including: birds, insects, clouds, leaves as they fall from trees. We will identify species and create species accounts (sketches) in notebooks as we hike. In the Depot classroom, we will fine tune our drawings and even transform them into new mediums. Hiking in nature is an important part of this class.
