Class Description: Unleash Your Creativity with Screen Printing! Screen printing is a popular, fun and creative way to apply your designs to new materials. In this beginning class on the art of screen printing, and you’ll learn:
• how to create a bold design and transparency that will translate well to printing
• what materials and tools are best for beginners
• how to work with photosensitive materials and create a dark room in your space
• best practices to prepare your screens for printing
• And the best part… PRINTING your own designs on t-shirts and canvas!

Students will be using creative problem solving skills from start to finish in this class.

Teacher: Christy Carter made her way to Colorado in 1996. Christy has always had a passion for the arts and will try her hand at just about anything, but photography has always been a favorite. Christy studied at the Art Institute to receive her degree in photography and could not be happier now that she is surrounded by art and artists daily.

Mollie Wonder is a true Steamboat local. She grew up in Steamboat and graduated from Steamboat Springs High School. Mollie has always had a passion for the arts and is accomplished at several different medias. With her passion for teaching and love of art, Mollie’s warm and inviting energy is sure to make for a wonderful class!
