Class Description: The students will go through various theater exercises everyday and will also practice a play they will perform for parents on Friday. This class will open a door to confidence and allow the children to feel comfortable in front of people. The skills they learn in Let’s Put on a Play! will transfer to school when they give reports and throughout life. They will learn to have fun and work hard through play and come into the realization they can be whomever they want. While working on scenes or theatrical exercise, they will have to make many problem solving decisions of how to react and to change the trajectory of an event they are practicing wit a partner.

Teacher: Heidi Hamric is a 4th grade teacher at Strawberry Park. With an enthusiastic, positive approach, she encourages students to take risks in theatre to find their inner confidence. Her performing arts background features stage drama as well as improvisation.
