October: Western Heritage
Celebrate Western Heritage Month with artwork that explores Steamboat’s history. Potential themes to explore in your work include ranching, mining, trains, skiing, agriculture, folklore, nature, a sense of place, and the changing demographics of the Yampa Valley.
Please submit your work by September 17th here.
November: Shine Your Light
How we respond to light and the idea of light grows and evolves. Human representations of light have spanned recorded history, inspired poems, advanced science, connected cultures and given hope to many. What comes to mind when you consider light? We are calling forward artists’ unique quest to capture and share light in their original artworks. ‘Shine Your Light’ exhibit invites artists to explore both physical and metaphorical representations of light.
Please submit your work by October 15th here.
December: Winter Wonderland
There is nothing like Winter in Steamboat. We are surrounded by nature’s beauty. Steamboat Creates is putting a call out to artists to bring some of that beauty to the Depot Art Center during the month of December to celebrate the Holidays and our annual craft fair, Holiday in the Rockies.
Please submit your work by November 1st here.
