Call for Artists

Call for Artists: Slifer Smith & Frampton
Slifer Smith & Frampton is now accepting applications from local artists for its Summer ’26 Showcase in the heart of downtown Steamboat Springs. This opportunity offers premier wall space for artwork in a highly visible office location between Lincoln Avenue and Yampa Street on 9th Street.
Selected artwork will be on display from June through October, seven days a week during business hours, and highlighted each month during First Friday Artwalk events. The showcase provides excellent exposure to locals, visitors, and prospective homeowners looking to connect with Steamboat’s creative community and purchase locally inspired work.

Volunteer Opportunities

Young at Art Camp Support
Get involved behind the scenes and help us gear up for an amazing Young at Art summer!
We have two great volunteer opportunities to support our camp season:
1. Camp Prep Support (Flexible Timing)
Help us get everything ready for our young artists by testing markers, refilling glue, organizing supplies, and tackling other hands-on prep tasks. This opportunity is flexible and can be done whenever it works best for your schedule. We’re hoping to have everything completed by May 28.
2. YAA Tent Setup (May 11, 8:30 AM–Noon)
Join us in the Depot parking lot to help assemble our 20×20 YAA tent and secure it to the building. No experience is necessary—just bring a willingness to help! Breakfast will be provided. Please dress for the outdoors and bring gloves.
If you’re interested in either opportunity, reach out to Robin for more details and to sign up: robin@steamboatcreates.org

Cabaret 2026
May 7th-16th
Join us behind the scenes for one of Steamboat’s most popular events! Cabaret is a high-energy, sell-out production, and we rely on an amazing team of volunteers to help make it all happen.
We’re looking for friendly volunteers to assist with a variety of roles before and after the show. It’s a fun way to experience the show, meet new people, and support the arts in our community.
