The People Behind the Depot.
Who We Are
Steamboat Creates is run by a small staff and a volunteer board who care a lot about the arts in the Yampa Valley. They are artists, educators, business owners and longtime locals, and they are the reason the Depot doors open every day.
If you have been to a First Friday, taken a class, sent a kid to camp or stopped by the gallery, you have probably met a few of them already.

NICOLE ARANDA

Today she is a jeweler, jewelry designer and owner of Nicole Renea, a fine jewelry company based here in Steamboat. She designs and makes every piece herself, working in solid gold with natural stones, and her favorite part is creating custom pieces that mean something to the people who wear them.
At Steamboat Creates, Nicole puts both careers to work, handling the organization’s marketing, social media, newsletters and website. She knows firsthand what it takes to build a creative business, and she brings that to every artist and event she helps promote.
