Built in 1908 as Steamboat’s original train depot, the Depot Art Center is one of the valley’s most distinctive landmarks. With its rustic architecture, soaring ceilings, and riverside location, the Depot offers a rare blend of historic charm and artistic elegance. Each month, the galleries transform with new exhibitions, providing a living backdrop that ensures no two events are ever alike.

From intimate dinners and nonprofit fundraisers to elegant weddings and milestone celebrations, the Depot is more than a venue—it’s an experience that connects your story with Steamboat’s artistic soul.

Bliss Hall
Warm wood interior, vaulted ceilings, and natural light create an inviting atmosphere. Ideal for ceremonies, dinners, concerts, and small receptions. Seats up to 80 guests. Includes a piano and a classic wooden bar.

The Gallery
Expansive, light-filled space surrounded by curated art exhibitions. Perfect for receptions, auctions, cocktail hours, or as an extension to Bliss Hall.

Full Depot Experience
Combine both Bliss Hall and the Gallery for maximum flexibility and a capacity of up to 150 guests.


All rentals include access to versatile furniture and a prep kitchen. Additional features are available upon request.

Deposit: A 50% deposit is required to hold your date.

Damage Deposit: $400 refundable deposit (includes key deposit). Returned within one week after your event if there is no damage and cleanup requirements are met.

Balance Due: Remaining balance and deposit are due 30 days before your event. Late payments incur a $20 monthly fee.

Insurance: Renters must provide proof of $1,000,000 general liability coverage with Steamboat Creates and the City of Steamboat Springs named as additional insured.


Free Nonprofit Sundays: Certified 501(c)3 nonprofit members in Routt County may book Bliss Hall for up to 2 hours on available Sundays before 4:00 PM. Standard deposit and insurance requirements apply. Limit one booking per month.

Outdoor Use: With city permit and additional fee, events can extend to the Depot’s outdoor areas along the Yampa River.


  • Renters are responsible for setup and cleanup (a checklist is provided).
  • Rental hours include setup and teardown. Additional time before or after the event will be charged.
  • Alcohol is permitted indoors with advance approval and appropriate permitting. Outdoor alcohol service requires special permits.
  • Cancellations made 60 days or more before the event are refundable, minus a $50 administration fee. Cancellations within 60 days are non-refundable.
