From the beginning, but increasingly, my work has addressed the nature of my environment. Cognizance of the sky, of water, of the elements, of color, of the patterns created by every visual stimulant are variables present. Some of the elements which have attracted me are the changing qualities of light and air, the peculiar spaces created by pattern, the web of interstices, and the power of time as an element of change. All of these awarenesses provide infinite formal possibilities including incremental decisions about deletion, softening, enhancing, and organizing.
