DEPOT ART CENTER RENTAL INFORMATION
Host your private event at the historic Depot Art Center. Originally a 1908 train depot, this building has unique, rustic charm and acts as a blank canvas for your special event.
The Depot Art Center is a community building. A private party or wedding hosted here means the renter is responsible for all their own catering, set-up and take-down of tables, chairs, bar(s), and/or stage. A general cleaning, including taking the trash out to the dumpsters, sweeping, cleaning up any cups, napkins, plates, and so forth, is also required. A renter’s security deposit will not be returned if damage is done or the renter cleanup checklist is neglected.
BAGGAGE ROOM FACILITY RENTAL:
Half Day Rental (4 – 6 hours): $700 + $200 Damage Deposit
Full Day* Rental (6+ hours): $1200 + $200 Damage Deposit
Hourly rental (up to 3.5 hours): $40/hr

However, considering the long-term scheduling of recurring classes, we reserve the right to prioritize facility use for organizational events and needs. We will do our best not to cancel reservations.
GALLERY FACILITY RENTAL:
Hourly (1-3.5 hours): $40/hour
Half Day Rental (4 – 6 hours): $250 with Baggage Room Rental or $400 rented on its own
Full Day* Rental (6+ hours): $500 with Baggage Room Rental or $650 rented on its own
The Baggage Room, alone, will seat approximately 125 people. If you are planning a sit-down dinner for more than this number, you should consider renting the gallery. This space can be used for bar service and cocktail receptions. The fee to rent the gallery is additional.
*Full-day (6+ hours) rentals are not eligible for the Affiliate Member discount due to the nature of most full-day events being outside of the scope of the mission of Steamboat Creates and the substantial wear and tear on the facility.
Damage Deposit: For rental of either or both spaces, a $200 damage deposit is required. This damage deposit includes your key deposit. This deposit is returned, or your check is torn up, within a week after the rental – as long as there is no permanent damage, the key is returned and the renter cleanup checklist is completed after your event and before the next users access the building.
Certificate of Insurance: For anyone who is not a member and/or conducting activities outside of the mission of SC, the Renter must provide proof of $1,000,000 general liability coverage with Steamboat Creates as a named additional insured for the duration of the contract. Please send these requirements to an insurance agent or broker who provides your casualty or homeowners insurance and have them provide a compliant Certificate of Liability Insurance to SC.
EQUIPMENT: The following are included in the above rental fees:
- 35 black folding chairs
- 90 grey molded chairs
- 2 five-foot rectangular tables (seats 6-8 people)
- 5 six-foot rectangular table (seats 6-8 people)
- 2 ten-foot rectangular tables (10-12 people)
- 5 five-foot round tables (8-10 people)
- 2 four-foot round tables (4-6 people)
PREP KITCHEN (modern updated)
- stove top
- oven (for heating not cooking)
- two deep sinks
- limited counter space
- wooden bar (Baggage Room)
- granite bar (Available with gallery rental only)
- projector & screen (Additional fee of $100)
- 4 coolers (Additional fee of $20 each)
- piano (Baggage Room)
- easels (Additional fee of $20 each)
- wireless internet (All rooms)
- sound system connects to iPod, MP3 player, computer, etc. and mounted speakers/sound system (Additional fee of $200. Training and support included.)
- linens (Additional fee of $100. See below.)
The Depot Art Center does have various table linens available. However, it is recommended that you rent your own table linens. If you would like to use the Depot’s table linens, there is an additional $100 cleaning fee regardless of the amount of linens you use.
A deposit of 50% is needed to hold a date on the Depot Art Center Calendar. The remaining balance and damage deposit are required one week prior to your event.
Cancellations must be submitted in writing. A $35 non-refundable admin fee applies to each contract. Rental fees must be paid in full for all reservations, unless cancelled in writing at least three (3) weeks prior to reservation date.
The final balance is due one (1) week prior to the rental start date. Late payments will incur an additional $20 fee per month.

FREE Nonprofit Sundays: 501(c)3 Routt County organizations have the opportunity to rent the facility for up to 3 hours on available Sundays without charge (the $200 damage deposit and insurance requirements apply).
