Join River Walk Collective artist Emma Friedland at the beautiful Yampa River Botanic Park for an inspiring introduction to botanical illustration. Learn techniques that will make your outdoor adventures more thoughtful, creative, and memorable while helping you capture the beauty of the natural world through sketching.
The workshop will begin inside the Trillium House, where Emma will guide participants through exercises focused on observing and capturing the essence of flowers using cut arrangements. Participants will then head outdoors for a plein air (open-air) sketching session, applying these techniques directly in the garden setting.
Designed for all skill levels, this workshop is fun, encouraging, and educational—whether you’re picking up a sketchbook for the first time or looking to deepen your observational drawing practice.
