Boz Scaggs grew up in Oklahoma and Texas, where he spent his teenage years immersed in the blues, R&B and early rock ‘n roll. After spending several years as a journeyman musician in the U.S., Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, he returned to the U.S. in 1967, launching his solo career with 1968’s seminal Boz Scaggs LP. Even with time off for family and family business, Scaggs maintains a loyal audience in the U.S. and overseas, particularly in Japan.
