Steamboat Creates presents Hike & Sketch: All are invited to join summer NozCaboose artist-in-residence Julia Ben-Asher for a hiking and sketching event on Emerald Mountain on Sunday, July 17. Meet at the Depot Art Center at 10am.
The group will have the opportunity to see Ben-Asher’s nature-inspired art inside the Caboose studio. Then, the group will hike up Emerald Mountain, and at the Quarry, find a spot to try their hand at plein air sketching. The event is expected to last until around noon.
Folks of all ages and of any artistic and athletic experience level are welcome; kids must bring an adult with them. Art supplies will be provided, but participants should bring water bottles, snacks, sunscreen and hiking shoes.
