Participants will work with rolled clay slabs to make fun, hand-made decorated ceramic ornaments. Students can use cookie cutters to cut out shapes or ceramic tools to cut and sculpt unique forms. We will then use a variety of carving and texture tools to imprint the clay surface and underglaze to paint and decorate the ornaments. Each ornament will be prepared with a small hole at the top through which to affix string for hanging. Pieces will be fired and finished with a clear glaze before being returned to students.
