Join us for an evening of remembrance, reflection, and local history as we honor Corporal Leo Hill, the first Routt County resident killed in World War I and the namesake of American Legion Post 44.

Presented by Riverwalk Collective artist, Air Force veteran, and history enthusiast and researcher Pete Wood, this program shares original research into early 20th-century life in Routt County and Steamboat Springs, and explores how World War I shaped our community and helped define the region we know today. Through Pete’s work, the story of one serviceman becomes a window into a broader moment in local history.
