Taking Flight- A Collection of Birds and Their Habitats by Dedi Knox, opening ArtWalk on September 2nd!
My love of birds and their habitats started when I was on the advisory board of our Audubon Center in Wisconsin years ago.
During the pandemic, I began to contemplate how the last third of my life would unfold. I spent time thinking about how birds and people find their new homes, how they adjust to new surroundings and begin new lives once again.
I have placed bird homes near ponds and marshes, deep in forests and in tall aspen trees. My paintings are progressing from realistic to abstract and I am content to settle into new experiences.
I am relying on past wisdom to soar.
