This art and heritage nature walk combines a love of hiking, exploring, learning and being creatively inspired by Steamboat Springs’ natural beauty. On the Mad Creek hike, participants will be accompanied by a land artist, Camille DiTrani, who will enlighten them on using things found in nature and returned to nature to create unique creative experiences. As you hike Mad Creek, learn about the area’s rich history with Executive Director of the Tread of Pioneers Museum, Candice Bannister. Learn about the Mad Creek Barn, see the remains of guest ranch cabins along the creek, and learn about homesteading families in the area.
