Tread of Pioneers Museum Presents: HUMAN IMPRINT: STRUCTURES, ARTIFACTS & WOMEN
May 3, 2019 First Friday Artwalk (5-8pm) – art exhibit, diary recitations & food and beverages. Tread of Pioneers Museum – 800 Oak St.
Celebrate May as Historic Preservation Month! An exhibition of work by artist and University of Denver professor Sarah Gjertson. Through research and discovery of a variety of historic mining sites around Colorado, this project uncovers some of the lesser known histories of women and their contributions to this highly mythologized time in the American West, and the impacts that continue to compromise these fragile historic sites. First Friday reception includes live diary readings from women in historic CO mining camps. FREE! #thisplacematters
Exhibit on display Dec. 18, 2018 – May 31, 2019
