Call for Artist

In partnership with People in Parks, Steamboat Creates invites artists to submit designs for an original public art installation inside two identical restroom stalls at Deerlodge Park in Dinosaur National Monument. The theme, “Confluence to Confluence,” focuses on the natural environment of the Yampa River between its confluence with the Little Snake River and the Green River. Submissions should feature an illustrated map and imagery of the landscape and elements that have shaped human connection to this area for thousands of years — without depicting people or structures. This project is part of the new “Lookie Loo” series, using public art to celebrate river ecosystems at recreation sites across Northwest Colorado and Northeast Utah.
